Ever wanted to learn to knit or crochet? Fishtail Hand Knits is now offering classes! From Beginner to Advanced, you'll be able to create amazing handmade beauties with Fishtail! :) To get started, just pick which class you would like to take and email me at [email protected] to setup a time and date. Classes must be paid for at least 48 hours in advance to secure your timeslot.

There are three levels of classes to choose from (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). Each class is $35 for 3 hours of one-on-one time with Fishtail (myself). This also includes a starter kit to practice with during and after your lesson. Each starter kit includes one (1) pair of knitting needles OR one (1) crochet hook and one skein of acrylic yarn. If there is a certain color you wish to have in your starter kit, please notify me at time of payment. Otherwise, it will be a color chosen by me. The location of your lesson is up to you. We can meet at my home, your home, Starbucks, the park, etc. Knitting and crocheting is a very portable hobby, so the options are endless. ;)

Beginner 1:
-You've never held a needle/hook in your hand. This class will show you how to start a project and teach you the basic stitches needed to build a foundation on.

Beginner 2:
-You've worked with needles/a hook before, but never got around to getting past the basics. This class will show you how to incorporate increases, decreases, and texture into your work.

Intermediate 1:
- You are able to do basic texture stitches and increase/decrease without breaking a sweat. This class will introduce basic lacework into your arsenal of stitches.

Intermediate 2:
-You can do simple lacework on your own. This class will be more of a refresher course of lacework while introducing cables and bobbles.

Advanced 1:
-You are able to breeze through cables and bobbles with ease. This class will introduce the different versions of colorwork. We will practice Intarsia first.

Advanced 2 (Knitting only):
-You are able to do Intarsia colorwork easily. We will continue your colorwork lesson with Fair Isle.

Advanced 3 (Knitting only):
-You are able to do Fair Isle. This class will carry on the colorwork lesson with Picture Knits. This is the kind of colorwork where you can do portraits and such with your knitting.
